im actaully considering, going the opposite route.. switching to the v12. but i do love my E.
i THINK there are more options for modding for the E. mid 12's stock and very minimal extras to reach 11's.
Shardul, what does a stock S600 run in the 1/4, and how compareable is it for modding and pricing of modding?
think ill start by visiting the S forum

I have an 04 with 59k on it now and bought it with 19k just over 7 years ago. Since then I've changed, control arms, ball joints, both batteries, rotors, engine/tranny mounts, spark plugs and regular wear and tear items. As far as repairs, I had to replace a heater control valve, a leaking A.C condensor, ic pump upgrade, oil line hoses, oil cooler replaced(threading was stripped on it removing old one), battery control module, air pump for suspension(warranty), had gas leaking(i think they replaced the whole tank) and I think that's it.
Far how aggressive I drove the car over the years I think its a champ. I still love it very much. Simple mods have you going very fast. Tons of awesome info on here that has saved owners in thousands of dollars with diy threads.

also i really want the amg looks - paddle shifters - bigger calipers -
more modding options

Do you believe the E55 will be cheaper? What aspect is cheaper besides the obvious 12 cyl vs 8? Just curious cos I was thinking about getting V12TT but not S-class ... And why 2004 and not 05-06?

its not about the coil pack
there is a lot of expinsive parts
worst thing is no buddy want to work on the car
local workshop i mean and if they do they ask 4 allot
its not an easy job 2 work on a v12
