i had this message after driving the car yesturday i had traction control off and this message came up and something didnt seem right after that. It came up after the wheels were spinning and it does even more now i can get 3rd gear to spin after that tcu tune.

Traction control is off if you are having the ESP Malfunction error. Which is why you are able to spin third easily still. Does it stay on even after you turn the car off and back on?

i think it went off when i turned the key off then on i have not fooled with it due to the rain out here

I used to get that a few times at the track and since it's just a soft error code it always reset itself with a key cycle. It never stopped me from finishing the pass, came up during normal driving, or made the car behave inappropriately.
