scary noise on cold start?
guys the car in the past few days has started making this noise, any ideas as to what it is???
on cold starts its from the front right hand side of the engine (when stood in front of the car) its a high pitched whistle and it scares me lol, goes after a few seconds and doesn't come back until the next day?

If this is the part that is bad, the only negative effect it will have is maybe throwing an emissions related code during start up at some point.

The secondary air injection pump is for the emissions system. It forces air into the exhaust stream to aid in heating up the catalysts on cold starts. It has nothing to do with your suspension. Changing the pump is a relatively simple job. You will have to remove the front under body panel. It is located in front of the left front wheel.
