It appears the advanced search is not working for me... anyone ever update the 03-05 center console to the 05.5-08 console?

it is possible and done before. all you have to do is find one from a salvage car and swap it

what parts are needed? There is an updated one on ebay, just pull the old unit with cupholders out, install the new piece?

you need a new shifter cover plate as well (its different)
I bought the console, looking for the shift plate as well
then the labor.

I can do the labor myself, that isn't so bad

I'm currently doing this myself. If you want to keep the pre-installed telaid phone stuff, you'll most likely need to order some new cable harnesses or rewire some plugs for it to fit. Since I have NTG2.5 and that has it's own bluetooth phone stuff, I opted to rip out the old telaid stuff.

i just did mine it will run u around 300 to 400 dollors. I could only find the lighter grain wood but i sent it off to a body shop and had the shift plate and center console painted piano black. The labor isn't so bad but like they said above make sure u get the shifter plate it is diffrent

if anyone updates and wants to part out their old butterfly console let me know as i need the buttons to open the butterfly - one broke and they only sell them as a set for $200 from the dealer -
