Jerking Tranny
O-55, Whats ur update bro? All Good?

The 2-1 shift harshness is more noticeable when driving like an old lady. When driven aggressive, it shifts smoother. Not sure if the car is thinking "Hey I'm in sport mode, the driver is going to drive aggressive" and the initially 2-1 shifts are rough but then smooth out once the car learns that you're driving like an old lady. My SA also mentioned the possibility of the valve body but didn't mention it going bad.

I got the car back last night after 6 days, (Damn I missed it) so the dealership replaced the valve body, and did a complete transmission flush. (it was done on schedule at 40k and now at 61k. Car feels awesome now. No jerk from 2 to 1, buttery smooth!! Finally! Drove about 50 miles last night from grandma driving to burning rubber, transmission took everything I threw at it no issues.

mine has oil leak from tranmission, and dealer says that because of oil preessure loss this may happen too.
I'll wait and see

ps: nearly same kms
mine was done at 50k now it's 65k

"Since I had the Valve Body out, I went ahead and replaced the Regulator Pressure Control Valve Spring (another common failing part.. causing ROUGH shift from 1->2 and 2->3)."
"The spring is underneath THIS Cap."
"Measure the Spring, for a length of 2.055" or greater.. to make sure you haven't 'lost' a piece of coil floating around in the valve body. The springs are known to break."
"Pressure Regulator Spring (Yes, those Idiots at MB change out the WHOLE Valve body, rather than the stupid $8 spring-- thus, NO MB number) Sonnax 68942-01 You should be able to get it at your local Transmission Supply house."
(I didn't have this rough shift problem, so I didn't open my valve body.)

From what I am gathering there all separate and not part of VB?

Result: The jerk/buck no longer exists. I was not able to log many miles at first because my supercharger went **** up shortly after the repair. I replaced the supercharger this past weekend and then drove around in the car quite a bit. The harsh shift from first to second gear is no longer there. What I have now is the symptom FinanceMike expressed earlier in this thread (the awkward RPM drop while still in gear right before a gear change), except I have it when changing from first to second and second to third. I believe it is due to poor signal strength between the conductor plate and solenoids, but I cannot be certain at this point.
I plan on wrapping up this saga Sunday morning. I'll report back after replacing the conductor plate and logging more miles.
Also, to those who think their tune is the culprit, my symptoms occurred when my car was stock and continued after the car was tuned (ECU and TCU). Torque converter replacement did not yield any improvement either.
