N/A heads have the same springs. What engines have you seen push the valves open in a gas application? I know/have had it happen on a diesel but never on a gas engine. We have 90lbs on the seat closed I think if my memory is correct.

Nice hand port… I was looking into CNC ported heads for the M113k. Now this kinda makes me wanna move forward with it again. Nice job!

99 ford lightning
rocket when i had my lightning those 5.4 motors have same springs as na motors and on a magnumpowers supercharger with 18-19psi created a dip in the dyno run up top. so i did 120lb behive valve springs on the intake side only to correct it.

just as a guide when charles at magnumpowers tested the 2v ford head on the lightning I think they started to open up a hair on 10psi. so for higher boost guys it might be a good idea to check your springs.`

I've also seen issues with valve spring seating in LS, 4G63/4, BP based, and L67 engines at high boost

Copying this from my main build thread, but:
Update:
Found a cracked valve when we were putting the heads back together. Ordered new exhaust valves from Ferrea and heads are being shipped back to me right now.

I know this is an old thread but is there an updated thread somewhere else?
A little information I have headers, afe dry flows, Eurocharged tune and a few other mods. From everything else I figure that puts me around 400+ hp and I plan on having a full exhaust built in the future.
I'm just wondering how much power in your opinion would the extra flowing heads make for an NA M113?

The porting of these heads was done by an individual who specialized in heads at SAM, but he graduated. He still does hand porting as side work, so if anyone is interested in getting in contact with him, let me know. As for the owner of this car, he sold it quite a while ago, and from what I can remember he never made it on a dyno. I'll try and check back in here at some point soon, so feel free to message me if you want the contact info of the guy who did the heads.

Hulk, until I pick mine up this spring I don't have a car to test on. So unless some people want to get their heads ported and report back with numbers, we are kind of at a stand still there.

Yup
Problem is I don't know many that will shell out 2k to have it done to find out, but I'm sure many will be looking forward to see your gains from ported heads only.
