Before the mods, with perfect launch 12.5@115.
After the mods, best time:11.83@120.23 (difficult to repeat since).
Used a 100 octane racing gas .

What were the conditions of your perfect launch?

ESP ON/OFF?

Suspension setting?

I don't remember who posted, but someone once wrote they got the best launch when the suspension was in comfort mode because that allowed the tires to grip the best.

Was your transmission on S or M? If it was on M, did you manually shift or let it shift automatically when it hit the readline?

Those are some awsome numbers!!!

No manual shifting, gradual, quick and consistently increasing pressure on the gas in order to minimize full ESP intervention.
100 octane SUNOCO gas.
BTW,the ESP in this car is the best I've ever seen in any car as far as intervention goes.
The HP is a little short,I expected higher (399 at wheels),the torque is unbelievable(486 lb at wheels).
Bob Brady ar Renntech has the copy of the Dyno.

399 rwhp with a torque converter is awesome. Depending on what you use for driveline loss, you are putting out 480-520 crank hp.

ABSENT....were your performance numbers obtained on a dragstrip, or are you using some type of accelerometer?

These Cars Are Mean To Be Driven Hard

...as the Instructors kept saying at the AMG Challenge

best 1/4 mile time - 12.33. 40 degrees F, low humidity, launch from idle in S mode, bone stock

A specific part of Edens at 4 am,G-meter used.
Calibrated the unit on the same stretch of hwy before the mods, achieved accel.times in line with magazines test results and in line with what others here reported before(1/4 in 12.5-12.8s)
Yes ,my car is silver.

ABSENT..nice times..although those g meters are cool tools, there MPH calculations in the 1/4 mile always seem to be optimistic.

I think my buddy raced with you in his 2001 E55. It is black. I was in the car. Pretty fast 2001. We were going south on 41 and then west on 60. We should set up another run for fun. His car runs 12.60 at the dragstrip and is pretty even with my 2003.

Absent,

It has a low boost supercharger. It shocked me too when I could not shake him off my ***. I bet it would be really strong if the transmission did not shift so deadly slow. You should have seen the face of a guy we ran in a 360. The 360 gunned it and started to wave bye bye to us. He was shocked when he passed him.

I didn't know there was such a large chicago E55 population??

We should set up a meet sometime for 210s and 211s! Maybe go out and do some late night highway runs

I think it is a HPS supercharger. It was installed by Willow Automotive in Lake Bluff.

Absent.

I was impressed by your car. The mods really have made it faster because my 2003 is no faster than my buddys car. We need to set up another run between your car and his.
