Yeah... that works a little differently here in CA.. would love to see someone try that here where you're getting chased by helicopters and 20 squad cars down the 405. That would be more impressing.

Yes it is definitely a different world when you go overseas. Having lived in Italy for the past 2 years I can confirm that law enforcement over in Europe is much different. And police where I was were driving little cars with like 130hp at the crank. You don't even need a fast car, just an average car by American standards and there is no way in hell they would catch you and there aren't enough of them around to try and set up road blocks or have a helicopter coming after you.
Driving over there was definitely different where I was because there almost seem like no rules, the speed limit was posted at 70 kmh (really low) on the main highway I took to work (2 lanes both ways) but the average speed was more like 120 kmh and we would go 180-200 kmh at times on our way home (20 minute drive). I have passed 3 police officers in a row doing about 130 kmh on the 70 kmh road and they just keep driving like nothing is going on.

Love it. Hey Chawkins, come back to SA man, the cops have sponsored Audi S3's, Golf GTi's, Ford ST's and BMW's. They don't play around and are not scared to shoot first - just makes the game more interesting. The real fun is racing the government ministers 20 car cavalcades that tear across the highways without warning - all of them blacked out and doing 180km plus. Same deal here man, if you run you will have helicopters and roadblocks and a few hundred new tiny ventilation holes in your bodywork.

The person was probably driving without registration plates... However, I'm sure some detective work will id the car, as I imagine C63s are not found on every street corner.

The driver is responsible for his actions in Sweden, so the authorities have to find out who was driving at the time.

In canada, they would arrest you whether you were the driver or not.
A guy in BC put a up a YT video of him doing 180mph and found his bike confiscated and he was arrested. There was no way of identifing him in the video.

Back in the late 80's, early 90's it was possible to run from the cops in and around Bethesda Maryland/Washington D.C., but you definitely could not run for that long. You had a few minutes to turn and burn and get out of sight. No teasing.

Just like ZED say. It doesnt matter who owns the car. You need to KNOW who was driving the car. So unless they stop him, he crash or get caught on vid there is nothing the police can do here in Sweden.
And i bet there will be more cops showing up in a min. But this is not US so we dont need cops in every street corner
And not all cops drive minivans. We got Volvos and **** aswell.
And Zed its nice to see you here, My car is almost done now. I will take it to the dyno (TM chiptuing) in 4 weeks. My goal is 800-850. Need to beat Lars K 63. He got 800hp
