If you have not invested into camshafts that will give increased power and torque at a higher RPM range then basically you are just getting sound of the engine at higher RPM. If you look at a dyno graph the high rpm range will show a flattening of both HP and torque in the stock form.

Not much unless your car actually makes power way up there. My car went slower after I got a transmission tune which caused my car to shift at 6700rpms. If I manually shift the car around 6300rpm the car goes faster in the 1/4 mile than letting it shift at 6700.

This place is a joke.
I remember you telling me this. I just had EC do my TCU tune, I sent them 2 of my dyno graphs showing my peak HP was right around 6300 RPM, and requested they leave the stock shift points, or 6300-6400 RPM, which they did. They also programmed it for my 2.82 gear. The car feels much better, most noticeable is the instant torque off idle and the fast shift from 1-2. Tomorrow I am going to the track, weather permitting, to see how it does, and see if the 2-3 shift lag is gone.

I also had EC give me a separate tune, keeping the stock shift point. I'd rather get back in the torque sweet spot sooner and also reduce the risk of fuel starvation up in that rpm range.
