Audio volume auto increase??

Do our cars have "audio volume increase" function?

I've only notice this since I have my E63 mufflers on. I guess it's due to the increase in the exhaust noise but everytime I get on it, the audio volume increase. Or is it just me going crazy?

Yep. Hate it.

Looking for a way to disable it.

Indeed! It only goes up but never adjust down.

This place is a joke.
Yes it's annoying. There is no way to disable it with programming. However, the microphones are in the bottom of the mirror, I haven't done it yet but am considering taping over the holes to make them less sensitive or replacing them with a resistor to simulate a low noise state.

Good idea. Those mics are useless for the hands free calling anyway.

I'll try it later.

Taping over the holes worked for me. Tried that this afternoon and the trip home didn't have any "adjustment".

The mics for the hands free are separate from the radio ones..not sure which are which just yet. Forrest, good to hear it worked, I will try it when I get my car back on the road.

The hands free mic must be in the trunk because nobody can hear me!
