Hello guys,

I am a new owner of E55 Amg year 2003 and i have been trying to facelift it. I already got facelift amg front bumper. But now I am facing a big problem with the facelift grill because my car has the distronic system. There is a lot of options for the grill on ebay but none of them wont't fit because of the distronic. I've been searching from ebay and all other places, but I am not able to find a facelift grill with the distronic plate. I could buy it straight from my dealer but the price for the grill is 650 euros and for the distronic plate about 350 euros. That s a quite lot of money for plastic parts and i could get a normal amg replica grill from ebay for 150 euros.

So does anybody know where i could find one for reasonable price? Replica grill would also be just fine.

Cheapest is to buy Plastic Ebay facelift grill. Then use your existing distronic cover under the grill to protect the radar sensor. It works, I have tried it. That is the cheapest way to do it. Then you can take your time to look for alternatives.

 

Okay thanks a lot! So the plastic grill won't disturb the radar? Even if there is chrome on the grill? Or should I just buy a black one?

 

I haven't tried the chrome one. Only black one that is painted black.
