Fixed clutchless supercharger pullies 55K
How many of us successfully running a fixed supercharger pulley? If so what size and list your other modifications and tuning company
Also how have you installed the resistor to prevent shorting itself out? Mine was and the car was stalling when pulling away from a light until I soldered some pins onto each prong, other options include relocating the resistor into the cabin like Denroll has.

77mm, eurocharged tune now for close to 6 months. Still doesn't like cold starts but figured out a way around that. Runs hard otherwise no hiccup or codes. Resistor is in engine bay. If I were to do it over again I'd definitely do a crank pulley and smaller clutched sc pulley.

I've been running mine for many moons now. Mods list? All of them, I guess.
I would say it's like dating Kim Kardashian (in her prime, Pre-Kanye): not perfect and sometimes annoying, but dat ***!

Ohh and I have the 77mm clutch-less pulley with a Dyno tune by jerry.
Only weird thing is my car A/F ratio is stuck at 10

I followed your method and put the resistor inside the cabin right behind the passenger carpet. Plus I went with 1000ohm resistor from radio shack. No more hiccups or car going into limp when I press down hard on the pedal. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Going to try something above 560OHMs

They did a great job and gave me 6 runs while retuning to get it to normal to get more increase HP. but no dice. you say I need a sensor? What kind of sensor and where does it go?

I think we may be able to debunk the resistor as causing the majority of the issues everyone has been experiencing. When mine wasnt in properly, ie shorting itself out, my STFT's went to over -25% on both banks. Car would buck and stalled twice. Took pulley off for a while, thought about the equation like a mad scientist and retried the resistor with some soldered pins and car was back to being a whole new animal.

I used quality heat resistant wire with quality crimps and snaked it inside the cabin

you think a wire wound resistor like this would do the trick?

I was also told by a buddy of mine (who makes circuit boards) that the wires will add to the total resistance output, the amount is negligable and also depends on the thickness of the wire but could be between 50-70ohms for over a meter of wire.

I've been running 77mm clutchless and Jerry's tune for about 3 weeks love the throttle responce, but had some issues. First my map sensor went out replaced that everything ok. Now I have the issue when I get on it it goes into limp mode till I pull off the road shut the car down and start it back up everything ok again. now I'm affraid to get on it and going into limp mode again. any suggestions?

That's why I went with a varistor (potentiometer) in the cabin. I wanted to see if a change in resistance would affect anything and it apparently did not. It looks like the range of acceptable resistance is pretty large. I went to the extreme ends of my ranges and it didn't make a difference. all I know is that without a resistor (open), it runs like crap and with the original plug left in, it runs like crap.

It is to the left of the supercharger pulley. There is a plug there that goes into the supercharger. Unplug it, then put the resistor into the female end (the part that goes away from the s/c).
