Thoughts on these wheels?

Hey everyone, I'm a new member to this site but a long time lurker. I'm looking to get some new wheels for my E55, but am having a hard time finding information about a particular set. I was originally going to order the ST180's (19") from sonic tuning, but apparently they've recently sold out of the 19's with no word on restocking. I spoke with their customer service department today and they confirmed the above information. I'm looking for another set of comparable wheels to those from sonic tuning, but there doesn't seem to be much information on wheels in that price range. I understand I am looking at budget wheels, and this is not a budget car, but unfortunately that is the range I can currently work with. Does anyone have any experience or insight on these wheels from sonic tuning (see link below)? I'm also more than open to suggestions for other options.

http://www.sonictuning.com/vehicle/a...12-wheels.html

Thanks in advance for the help, and I'll try to get some pictures of my beast up ASAP.

Those offsets are about 10mm lower than stock, so you should consider purchasing spacers with those wheels consistent with that variation. They look good, but I have no prior knowledge of or experience with them. Perhaps someone else will chime in.

Thanks for the heads up about the offset. I admit I didn't pay too much attention to them since I knew a couple members ran the ST180(1)'s and they have an almost identical offset. I didn't notice any of them list spacers, but that doesn't mean they weren't using them. So since the offsets are +32 front and +36 rear, would I need a 10mm spacer to run 275 or 285's? The wheels are 10" wide so I know there's more than enough wheel to handle that much tire, but clearance is my concern.

if they're 10mm off from stock, I probably wouldn't pay $799/wheel...

They're $799/set of 4.

And about the offset, according to the owners manual the stock wheels are +30 front and +39 rear. The linked wheels are +32 front and +36 rear. Am I reading something wrong, or is that a major offset difference?

Btw here are a few pictures of my E55 when I first got it (~2yrs ago). I haven't done much to it visually other than a flat hood badge.

Edit: dangit, image tags didn't work, will update in a minute.

No, they're pretty spot-on for W211, no spacers needed. BTW, hello!

OP, offsets are perfect for you car, and that's a nice looking wheel for the money. I say go for it!

I was reading a few other posts on this forum that agree with the above post. Others seem to have run/are running 19x10's with +35 offset without issues.

Thanks man, those titanium ones are definitely sick. They only have the silver and matte black in stock, so I'm going to try out the black and see if I like it.

Anyone else have opinions on the offset and whether it'll work or not? Also, would a 245/35/19 & 285/30/19 fit without rubbing? I don't mind stepping down to a 275 if that'll be an issue, but just love the look of wider tires .

Sound logic right there, 275 it is! You're lowered pretty far too, right? That's good to know I'd have room to drop it further with a ELM at some point. Have you rolled your fenders, or "massaged" the inner wheel well at all?

Ok cool, I appreciate the help. I just placed the order from Sonic Tuning and would highly recommend working with them. Ray over there was awesome to deal with, and got me a great deal on the wheels. I'll hopefully get the tires ordered tomorrow, and see when everything will get here. I'll post pics once everything comes in.

Wheels are on

Wheels came in on Tuesday, tires came in on Wednesday and just got everything mounted up today. What do you think? (sorry for the iPhone pics)

The front center caps don't clear the dust caps, any ideas on what to do with those?

ELITE_KOV: Thanks, and I agree! Can't beat the price for these, and I think they look pretty good.

ArmoE55: Haha I'm inclined to agree that Flint is the best! It took me a while to find one with the options and color I wanted, but am very glad I found this one. I still have a little work to do to be twins, but it'll get there eventually haha.

Yeah yeah yeah hahaha I would've loved to get the titanium finish ones, but all they had in stock were the matte black and polish silver. Once I step up to some big boy wheels I'd like to go with a gunmetal finish, but these will do for now. Yeah I really need to get an ELM and drop it down.
