That's genius! I never thought about using the existing frame to build LED's on. How'd you get the mesh grill and LED strip to stay put? If the strip isn't too thick, I think it'll look better center mounted instead of the top.

Regardless it still looks really good! Maybe I've just been more accustomed to OEM versions with the chrome housing around it. Can OP show a quick video of a drive by with those LED's on?

I did the same thing while back I bought the fog light covers from Gary@Suvneer for $50, didn't want to cut up my factory one jsut incase I mess up and bought the same LED light on ebay for $15 and some metal mesh from Home depo but the mesh was to flimsy to hold the LED in place so I took it off. I look good thought. You could make this for less than $75 if you can fine a sturdy mess. I never though about using the OE mesh.

Very nice!! ... I bought all the parts to do exactly this .. just no time to do it yet. The LEDs I bought can alternate to amber when turn signal is on. I need to find time to do it. The mesh you can find already painted black at Home Depot .. it's more of a diamond shape but looks pretty good too.

It's metal - it's not the fencing wire or plastic mesh but gutter mesh I think. it is more solid than OEM a little difficult to cut.
