'02 996 Turbos showed 11 cars:
Highest price:
_$129900
Lowest price:
_$94900
Average price:
_$105748
These cars hold their value amazingly well!!!

There is nothing "standard" about a 911 Turbo. Historically, 911 Turbos have sustained much higher residual values as compared to other vehicles. A quick check of the AutoTrader showed 24 '01 996 Turbos (within 200 miles of Fort Lauderdale) with a high figure of $109 a low of $80k and an average of $92k. One of these for $70k should raise a huge red flag.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2442413338 Tack on another 20% just because its e-bay. Fact remains its still a 2003 with less than 1K miles + X50 package
Turbos are no longer 'limited' Porsche produced as many as they could

True...people can ask for any amount, however, ask too much and no one will respond. The X50 package is a total and complete waste of money as far as resale goes. X50 cars yield no more than their non-X50 counterparts. The 911TT stills holds its value much, much better than ordinary cars.

996TT
Don't fool yourself about Ebay. I recently got a used '01 996TT and did tons of research and waiting. I talked to a BUNCH of Ebay sellers (99% of whom are dealerships) and they all told me the same thing. Very rarely do they actually sell the highline cars via online auction. Instead, they view ebay as the biggest advertising bang for the buck. Think about it...huge worldwide audience reached for what, $10? Try that with traditional advertising channels.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
FYI, I bid on two 996 TT's...
in the last two weeks at quality auctions, and cars even with no equipment and good miles are still doing high 70 to mid 80's depending on color. I know, because I didn't get either! I've been driving them for over 20 years, and if you see a Porsche really cheap, it's for a reason. Do your homework and you'll be fine. Terrific car.

Locally a 97 993TT is going for 67K usd while a 2001 996TT is going for ~75K its at the same used car dealership as well...
I'm not complaining though! I might be able to afford one next year
