If you really want black housing then you can open up yours and paint it. Since you're shopping for headlights I assume you have the halogen just like me. But I think there is a better solution than going with these cheap imitations..

#1 Get the Hella OEM Replacement headlights which come with everything like ballast, lenses and possibly bulbs. Make sure that you don't get the one with AFS since it won't work right off the box and you'll end up paying 200+ in difference.

#2 Get the DEPO replacements which IMHO are a better replacement than the ones you had then swap out the lenses for the Hella EVO XR (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...ors-48722.html) and also add Morimoto Elite HID System (http://www.theretrofitsource.com/hid...id-system.html). This will probably give you a better light output than the stock.. (Maybe someone else can chip in on this). The only thing is that I'm not so sure of the quality of the headlight housing of the DEPO vs the Hella.

I've been thinking about doing this and to be honest the Hellas would run me about 1000 for both while the #2 option would be about 600-700. Not sure if it's worth the trouble to go with #2 unless it gives out a better light output.

Does anyone know if the EVOXR with the Morimoto Elite would be better than the Hella OEM Replacements ?
