I'm here, nothing to add lately. How's the car? I'm up to 1300 miles already! Can't seem to put it away, and with the 4 doors, its a car I can take the family in. Couldn't say that with my SLK or M3.

The car frightens me. Just twitching your foot causes it to launch forward 100 yds. It's like trying to walk a rabid Rottweiler through a Weiner dog show.

Hey I see you guys are a couple of houstonians my dad just got his e55 with the renntech upgrades and is lookin for some people to play with. My name is Ben im 20 and i'm currently in school rite now but will be home the end of next week for christmas break. It would be cool if my dad was up for it to meet up with a couple of you guys.
my girlfriends dad also has a renntech s55 and renntech e55 as well as a 996tt with some serious modifications dyno sheet with almost 650 at the wheels he said he'd tag along as well.

Can either your dad or your dad's friend comment on the value of the Renntech upgrades(5K+) vs actual performance benefit? I know that they recently updated the Renntech website to read that the Renntech E55 would do the 1/4 in 12.2 vs the 12.5 they had posted about a month ago....same picture and everything where the 0-60 is still listed at 3.9sec. Some guys here have run in the low 12's with only airflow changes(filter, S500 intake tube)...so I am having trouble separating myself from 5K for a meager increase in performance.

well my dad is still in the break in but my girlfreinds dad is extremely satisfied with the 5k he spent. He has owned quite a few modded cars including a Dinan M5 with almost 20 grand into it a 996tt with alot more into it and he said the 5k he has spent on his E55 has been the best performance/dollar purchase. He has his S55 with renntech as well and said once he drove his S55 after getting renntech he knew that he would have to get renntech on his E55 he hasnt looked back since and the car is a monster i will vouge for that.
