Supercharger problem

Hi Guys

I am having some problems with my supercharger. It seems to be very noisy and has some big loud noises that I am uncomfortable with.

I took the belt off and spun the supercharger pulley by hand and the clutch mechanism on the blower seems to spin with it as if the pulley and supercharger are fixed together.

The supercharger seems to be engaged at idle when I turn the car on and when the supercharger is supposed to normally kick in it seems it might be turning off as I lose a lot of power now.

Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

Could it be the bearings?, the clutch mechanism or the blower itself?

Regards,

OZZYAMG

I had a similar issue not long ago. The result of my [aftermarket] pulley seizing to the clutch magnet was internal bearing failure of the supercharger. The seals in my supercharger more than likely failed as well. My intercooler was soaked with supercharger oil when I took it apart from the blower.

Are you getting constant white smoke from your exhaust? It would appear similar to early morning condensation smoke, but it never goes away.
