Same here. I usually have half a tank or less cuz gas is expensive and I'm putting money towards my transmission issue (p0741). But I filled up all the way 2 days ago and today cabin smelled like gas. No visible leaks

Your car may be covered by an extended warranty from MB. Before my car got killed, I had JUST had the entire gas tank replaced for $0 at the dealer. I had received a notification from Mercedes that the car was covered for 15 years for the emissions / fuel tank. My symptom was gas smell in cabin and outside the car (was afraid to use the garage door opener lest I blow up the house) when I came home with a full tank.

Cool so there must be a court order stating that they are liable for 15 years. Do you have any link or information on the lawsuit or perhaps the extended liability? My car is 2010 e350 4matic so I'm definitely within that statute.

It only covers w211 e-class from what I am aware. You would have to speak with your dealer.
