Question Changing plugs, wires too?

Going to be changing my valve cover gaskets here in the next week and figured I'd get the spark plugs out of the way as well (coming up on 80k). I was wondering if I should go ahead and drop the extra $100 on a new set of wires or if I should save myself the time and money.

Thanks

I did mine at the same time, but I was told by Speedriven that they hardly ever fail. I guess its one of those things thats up to you, if you got the extra cash go for it.

i agree if you have the extra money, but if not, at least buy some dielectric grease and put some in each boot plug. should be just as good. just look over the plug wires while you have them out and if no noticeable cuts or burns etc etc... then they should be fine. on the plugs, check all your gaps if you do decide on changing the spark plugs out while you are at it. good time to either clean the outside of the valve covers and/or paint them too before reinstalling. take care and enjoy man!

One step colder plugs for each 50-75 hp added is a general template.

For sure go one step colder. Did mine a thousand miles ago and am glad I did. Smoother idle, etc. Change wires if necessary, otherwise they are good to go.
