E55 VS ISF
E55 VS ISF
finally picked up my e55, im in love with this car. never been in anything with this much power. i will post pics when i clean it.
One of my friends with a 08 IS-F wants to race, he has a stock ISF, the dude cant drive i already know. he wants to race from a light up to 100 or so, so my question to you guys is.
have any of you ever raced an ISF and how would a stock E55 keep up with it, my car feels pretty healthy BTW. and what settings should i have on, air matic, transmission, and traction control.

so what settings should i have it in? guys today i pressed the button on the dash that turns off traction control, i put my foot on the brake and revd it up to 2500 and i let go of the brake, it jumped for just 1 second then it was slow, i think thats the IC pump. or maybe i reved it too high idk, i have done many pulls with it already and that was the only time it did it.

Rbj, that's one healthy IS-F to stay within several car lengths like that!
Don't press anything and leave the trans in D sport. Just wait for the go and stomp on it...the car will take care of itself.

Do what ever you want, sleep during the race if you want, just make sure you have your steering wheel straight (or pointing to where you're going) and the throttle fully open. Traction control on, traction control off, no engine haha you'd still beat him. They're not in the same league.

The newest body-style? The IS F-Sport? That's only an option package on either the IS250 or IS350. The newer bodystyle doesn't have an actual IS-F model yet with a performance motor.

Those are the specs for the current model; the one discussed in this thread. They haven't announced the next ISF yet, but the upcoming RCF sports 450hp/383tq, so I'd expect the new ISF to use the same motor.
