2007 Mercedes E63 AMG
i have 130k and am currently battling with a battery drain gremlin. one of the modules is faulty causing the MOST optical network to stay active keeping the rest of the modules alive upon shut off. the engine itself has been great...spent a lot on preventative and corrective maintenance. shouldn't forsee any problem to 200k if you manage those things well.

I have an '02 E55 with 77,000 miles and the car smells, feels and drives like a brand new car. I just spent $2500 on regular maintenance ( Brakes, fluids, filters, spark plugs, tires and wheel bearings) and the car feels tight, I mean TIGHT. I know it's not M156 engine but any machine if properly taken care of, will go forever. My LX 470 has 220,000 and still going strong.
Head bolts are known issues with this engine so I will not hesitate spending $1500 for engine longevity which is what we call "maintenance"
This is the schedule I usually follow on all my cars.
Engine oil (Synthetic Mobil-1) : every 5000 miles
Coolant: Every 30,000 to 40,000 miles
Brake fluid: every 2 years
Differential: every 3 years
Cabin and other filters: every 2 years (depends on location)
Transmission fluid: every 4 years/ 50,000 miles
Spark plugs: Every 60-70,000 miles
Alignment: every 1-2 years depending on your driving habits
Besides what's mentioned above, anything else that needs attention, gets attended rather quickly. Just remember, with higher miles comes the higher expense

My 07 E63 currently has 82k on the odometer. Although I'm a long way from hitting 200k, but I can't see why this car isn't capable of hitting that mark. I recently seen high mileage Mercedes Benz, at a recent car shows several months ago. And my MB car club, gives out awards all the time for high mileage Mercedes, in fact we just had one at MB in Tysons Corner, VA. The engine is capable, it was well engineered and heavily tested. It can did it

anyone have anything to add to this? my 156 had 132k miles. i changed the head bolts and the intake gaskets. oil pan leaks. i have it changed three times but they cannot seem to fix it. besides be embarrassing, it's not an issue. putting in some liquid moly cam stuff, there's no clicking from the cams. how long will it last?? i have bad dreams about it dying. i love my w211 e63 station wagon!

Remember that all cars, regardless of manufacturer will require some sort of maintenance to be able extract that type of mileage from it.
My 07 E63 is sitting at 105,000 miles and requires a rear main seal that is wicking oil. And that is a $1300 job all day.
Remember what AMG stands for "All Money Gone". Meaning that it wasn't a cheap car to purchase when it was new and isn't cheap to maintain now that it's old.
