So the Mustang had some slight wheel spin causing the crappy benz to beat him to 50 yards, then got smoked by the Mustang and this is praised on this forum and in an email to me stating
"This happens every time I watch a Mercedes-Benz race a Mustang. The Mercedes says goodbye to the starting line like a player leaving the scene of a one-night stand. The Mustang leaves the starting line screaming and protesting like someone being arrested on an episode of Cops. In the Benz corner you have zero tire squeal, and other than the sound of a singing M113, no drama at all. In the Mustang’s corner, there’s tire squeal, children crying, broken furniture, three barking dogs ready to attack the police … oh, wait, I’ve fallen back into thinking about every episode of Cops … ever.
But I could be wrong — it might be the Eurocharged Stage 3 E55 AMG that is providing all the drama at the launch, but my money’s on the Mustang … they just don’t hook up as well, yet solid-axle fanboys insist a live rear axle is better for drag racing. Maybe that’s the case for 2,000-horsepower setups, but for a 5.0 huffing the spray, not so much.

I agree with the guy asking if the 5.0 won. It was pulling the AMG pretty hard. Watch the gap in the headlights closing in. I wouldn't make this a public email broadcast. Lol

Anyone here that cant admit that stang was reeling him in on the big end like it was going out of style... is blind. Im about as big of an anti ford guy as you will find, but that car was pulling him back in pretty hard.

Ok, you got me. A win is a win and looks like the AMG MIGHT have still had the lead when the video was done, BUT clearly the 5.0 is the faster of the two. My point is, I wouldn't be sending this out in a public email when the AMG is getting pulled hard. I have no affiliation with either car, just looked at my email and saw what I saw.

a mustang on 100 to 150 shot is only a high 10 to low 11 in the quarter. dependind on the driver and weather. I can run with that. plus im a bonifide street racer. these young guys are just learning.
