I wouldn't say its too far off, you can get an 05-06 SL65 from 45-50k np now even 40k if you really want a high mileage one, A black series kit with headlights, grill, tips etc for another 7k, install for another 7-10k depending on what you do, You would def need wider wheels but I've seen even 1800 Rohannas for 2 20x9, and 20x11 that have the right offsets with prob another 1500 in tires and 1000 for ECU/TCU tune, and 500 for the IC Pump and HE.
That's still $63800 - $71800 So I wouldn't say money left over but could you get an SL65 with a kit installed and tune for close to 60k? If you really tried yes you can get very close

Damn 20k for an SL65, I forgot about the "Out of Warranty" factor on these AMGs, 80-100k miles would be good also as you had a service record of all the parts that were bound to go out already replaced, I think around 50-60k mile is the latest you can apply for a warranty. I'm not sure if a warranty company would take that chance or not.
Also it reminds me of that teenager who bought an 05/06 S65 AMG with high mileage with no warranty just for him to sell it 1-2 months later when the dealer told him he needed to pay 10k+ for just ABC work cause it was that bad shape.
But yeah you buy a high mileage car from an owner who loved his car then maybe I wouldn't worry as much

I can still get a warranty on the SL65 up to 100k from USAA. Price is not unreasonable and it covers everything except trim and wear items such as tires, brakes, and belts.

I kinda wish I bought a longer warranty, I knew someone who had an E55 bought it at 20kish miles and has it covered to 120kish
