Will catless Long tube headers harmful to E63 motors (Long Term)?
Hey there,
So i just got my LTH installed but im still waiting for a tune, now my question is that will the headers be harmful to your E63 motors in the long run? Is their any maintenance i need to do like clean it? since they are catless and Fully open now.

I don't believe so at all. If you had not Jet Hot coated them, i would recommend that you consider that. I have been running the same set-up you ask about on my M5 with no issues what so ever.

Wont hurt a thing as long as you are tuned for them. they get hot gases out faster. The better an engine breathes, the better it performs.
The tune is important as the AFR will change with the added airflow. In theory, you will be leaner without a tune which is great for power but also burns holes in pistons.
