2005 e55 AMG

Secondary cats

Any known issues with removing the secondary cats on a 2005 amg? MIL light, smell of exhaust anything like that. Thanks

I removed my secondary cats and resonators and didn't have any of those issues. Remember there are still primary cats in place.

From what I've read here there will be no changes in sound or power or even smell. It's like you never even did it. Until you remove the primaries as well, then it sinks to high heaven.

If you're doing it for sound then it's better to just swap the mufflers with some E63, cls55/63 or c63 mufflers, and then remove the resonators.
