How well does your e63 front end and XY lip fit?

Hi,

recently I did a gary e63 front and xy lip.

under my impression that all you guys have perfect fitment. I did tell the bodyshop to charge me more $(they didn't. I know the owner for over 15 yrs), because I like my stuff perfect..

it turned out good for "most" people.....

let me know what's up with yours before I go into details.

thanks !

Mine was "very good" but not oem perfect. I beat the crap out of my car and drag the front end often it's held up well. The 3 things that bugged me:

The wiper cover fitment, it's rough big seams in between.

The lower grille is low grade for my taste, I replaced with oem 63 part and looks so much better

The fog light bulb size makes it difficult to swap out with an HID replacement.

All that said the bang for the buck on this conversion is off the charts. Would a n OEM look and fit better? Yes! Is it worth the differnce in cost? Hell no.

one car at a time
The gaps around headlights is not great, but probably good enough for 99% of the people....

It's not the best, the XY lip doesn't fit that great but you can't tell anything from 10 feet away, also gap around lights.

The gap around headlamps is fine for me, I found the 55 headlight washer covers fit better , and the right side bumper is slightly not perfect where it meets the fender. This is being ****.

Ok, wait. I was about to get one of these and i was under the impression that it looked OEM? So it doesn't?

I mean are we talking eBay level DSM bodykit fitment here? Is it worth it to pay 2x for the OEM bumper if you are **** about these kinds of things?

Where does yours not fit right? In the center of the bumper at the point?

You would think with the same person selling these they would do a little bit more research into this and make it fit as close to as 100% that they can. I haven't put on my rear diffuser yet, scared to see that outcome!

I fitted the middle perfect but one side pops out a tad more. figured front fitment is more important than the sides... sigh

If you're looking for OEM fitment go OEM. As for the diffuser and lip I have a euroteck rear and suvneer front, quality a little different on the euro piece looks to use more CF and is a nice piece but took just as much fitting and compromising as the front lip. Bottom line... Aftermarket stuff fits like aftermarket. But these are quality grade not fleabay fiberglass. On an **** scale of 1 - 10 I give it a 7.5. If you're a shine and recline guy go OEM and don't look back. If you're looking to facelift your daily/street strip ride suvneer all the way.
