2006 E55 AMG
SBC pump warranty question
I see sporadic mentioning of the warranty being 15 years instead of 10. Does anyone know for sure?
Also, my E55 is a 2006 model but with a delivery date (according to the datacard) of june 14th, 2005. is this the date the warranty period starts?
I understand that DAS can see (or even change) the lifetime meter for the pump. Does anyone know at which point the timer runs out? I'm at 122K miles, can't be far off I'm sure.
Thanks.

If there is no fault dealer won't do it for free. The tech works flat rate , his time is his paycheck. So for him to look at your car costs him time, unless of course the unit is bad but at that point you would get a message. The warranty starts from the delivery date of the car , 10 years after.
