Proper helicoil kit for valve cover bolt

Long story short, I was an idiot and picked up a ft-lb torque wrench in stead of an in-lb, set it to 72 and torqued down the first valve cover screw, front most passenger side bolt, the one with the ground wire on it. Needless to say I totally stripped it out.

So my question is what is the right size and type of kit i need? I don't have any calipers or thread gauges, this is why I'm asking.

6X1.0 I believe. You should get a kit with a drill bit, and installation tool.

So this would be an adequate kit? Do I need a special driver for the taps or will they fit in a socket?

Time serts are a much heavier duty option to a helicoil. In an application such as a valve cover bolt a time sert is a bit of overkill, but it is your decision. Here is a cheaper alternative tot he kit you posted. There are special drivers for the taps, but you can always use something else that you have available.
