Ok so a buddy of mine got a 2005 e55 same as mine and we did some runs ..
Me thinking I will fly past him but I was wrong he kept up with me all the time wth !!I did start pulling away just a bit by like 165 mph but ill let go thats to fast for freeway dnt want any accidents ..but is this possible any experience the same ?? That sucks if we are running the same that means I just waisted money for nothing !!!
We did 20mph rolls and he will be right beside me all the way im just shocked that a stock e55 kept up with my moded e55..
He said dealer told him it was complete stock smh !!!

Maybe you have a problem with high IAT. a lot of problems can be, ignition, IAT, AFR without measuring hard to help.

How do I check if I have any issues ...??
Becsuse that was crazy !!I am beating zl1 camaros and I raced a ls3 with some mods and I was right behind the vett ..I can feel that my car is running stronger than when I had it stock ..
My friend did mention that the car had services done at a performance shop so I am now thinking it might be moded some how

You can feel torque but you can be slower than you think. You really need to do a log.

Thats what im saying he was with me all the way to 170 lol ..so I told him he must be tuned..maybe the dealer did not know that lol ..because I dont think my car is messing up ..I have 107 on the miles and I always maintain my car ..his is like 120k I think ...could it be that I have an xpipe and no mufflers ?

If a guy goes to trade his car in to a dealer or sell it to a dealer and he tells them that it has mods then he will NOT get near the money for his car if he tells them it is modded! It clearly sounds like his car is modded and your car is fine! I thought this before figuring out that his car is probably tuned bc of the speed limiter disabled.

Agreed.. I have run a couple E55's that were stock or tune/pulley only.. It was not even funny. Could not even see them in rear view mirror.. DENROLL!

He is modded.. or he has an unusually strong (stock) motor

Look at his crank pulley, that would be a dead giveaway and easy to spot.

How can we tell the diffrance ...
When we did the rolls he will jump but then I will catch up and we stuck together. and by like 160 I will start to pull foward a bit !!

Check if he has headers, check his boost with a logger

Also to the OP, what package do you have on yours? Im assuming your buddies doesnt have a huge intercooler sticking out the front.

I have a 82 mm supercharger pulley and the tune ..no his e55 looks stock ..makes me wounder if maybe my 55 is running low ..but dont think so I can feel the power of it ..so I guess we gona use a logger like mentioned before ..

Take pics of the crank pulley, exhaust manifolds, and supercharger inlet/throttle body area and post them here.

I purchased my E55 sight unseen from a dealership in Arizona and had it shipped to me. When I got it, I had no idea it had been modded... crank pulley, headers, heat exchanger

He has to be modded to go past 155 (speed limiter).. He has at least a tune and probably more, just doen't know it...

If you haven't changed your intercooler pump do it asap.

Buying a car sight unseen, taking the PO word for it, is quite possibly the biggest mistake you can make when buying a car. I did it once and never again. Maybe next time I'll have your luck though lmao

Luckily, you came out on top-- helluva pick up with the headers and pulley! Bet that made you grin a bit on that initial drive.

Stock E55 here, ZL1 and I were neck and neck 2 runs back to back 50-120 (each took the jump). If you're leaving them in the dust and your buddy is keeping up with you, chances are he's got mods and was 'sandbaggin'.

I do it all the time, it's a blast. I usually do it with out of state legitimate dealerships, everything else I generally show up

Ill see if I take some pics of it and post them up ..got to ask him first ..but im 90% he has a moded 55 ...the pulley looks stock also the crank looks stock lol ..but he also wants to find out .so we will see what happens

You can raise the stock limiter to 186 with DAS and the know-how

You'll need to measure the pulley sizes to really now if he's got mods. Eyeballing the pulley sizes def won't cut it. What mods did you say you had again?
