Next E-Class AMG - Maybe???
There has been talk about the next E-Class AMG going back to a N/A big V8. There is an article in Autoweek about the GST or R-Class. It talks about various engine including 4.0 V8 turbodiesel with an electric motor with 313hp and 634lbs of torque. Other engines include V6 and V8 all the way up to a 6.3 liter V8 in a range-topping RL63 AMG model that is rumored to pack 500 hp.
So all that rumor talk sounds true. This is the first time the 6.3 engine V8 was actually printed in a magazine that I know of. The R-Class will be on sale in 2005.
