Side Marker Light Malfunction after E63 Bumper Swap
I didn't even look at the bumper for a few days since I received the car back from the shop a week ago at night time. I basically put the car cover on and decided to take her out yesterday. The side marker malfunction message came on. I got out to see what happened and BAM....NO DAM SIDE LIGHTS ON THE STRIP. This thing looks clean as hell with the new bumper and no side marker lights. However, is there any way to get rid of the malfunction message? I have SDS.
BY THE WAY...Gary is the man! Has some issues with the sensors and he quickly did the research for new brackets and had them ordered through my uncles shop in minutes...great products and great guy to deal with!

If you have access to Mercedes Xentry hardware, you can change the central gateway coding from USA to "Rest of the world", and then the side markers are disabled. That also activates SBC Hold feature, which is a small bonus.
