I have posted the part number and picture in another thread...They are different and were placed on all late model 06's...the larger injectors were designed for the SLR but used across all of the K motors in 06.

If you want a slightly larger injector w/o the need of rescaling, these should be fine....if you step up to the aftermarket options, you'll need a complete tune.

Bro, I don't know how to tell you this in a clearer way, SLR injectors are NOT found in 06 55K engines. If you read ANY and all threads there's only 1 clear fact SLR has 6 holes for better atomization vs the 4 holes the 55K has. So CLEARLY they can't be the same. Please take a look at the numbers I have posted below.

2006 E55 AMG Injectors -

2006 SLR McLaren Injectors -

This is from my BOSCH source!

Just saw your post, and those guys are closed for the day but I will definitely reach out to them tomorrow morning. Their prices listed online: Clean and Flow ($20 per injector) or Flow Test Only ($9.00 per injector). PM me the last 8 digits of your VIN.

06 CLS55 AMG BOSCH #s -

09 G55 AMG BOSCH #s -

03-09 55K - Q-stat (at operating pressure {380kPa}) (g/min) or MAX flow ^ rate is 349 gallons/min = 484.7 cc/min

03-09 55K - Q-stat (at operating pressure {380kPa}) (g/min) or MAX flow ^ rate is 349 gallons/min = 484.7 cc/min

03-09 SLR - Q-stat (at operating pressure {380kPa}) (g/min) or MAX flow ^ rate is 380 gallons/min = 527.8 cc/min

It could be the other source of information is wrong as everything I can find on these injectors say/show that they are the same. Idk if someone got duped into purchasing these 'light blue slr' injectors but from everything I've posted/read call BS. Still I do like a nice experiement to set facts straight and will def be sending in my 'black' injectors to get flow rated and if viper04 sends his we could test them both. I also just spoke with another company, (my guys only do diesel injectors) and the prices to test are the same above.

I can sent you the injector when you are ready and you can have them clean and flow for me. They came out of a spare motor I had. Not sure if it was a CLS55 ( I think it was but not a 100% sure) May be we can start a new post and put the debate to rest. Here are the pictures. Thanks.

has this myth been debunked? 072 black (2003-05) vs 304 (2006+) blue injector flow rate (not SLR injectors we know those are diff for sure)
