Display Malfunction Visit Workshop
So I started seeing messages show up on the dash, similar to what this person experienced in this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...w203-c240.html
I took the car to the dealership and they state that they need to return the car back to a stock file in order to be able to test the CANBUS properly. Does this make sense?
I have had this tune on my car for two years without issue, but if the car is returned to stock Im sure it will be running rich as hell. And I dont know if Jeremy will have the file from two years ago, which will likely cost me more money to get it re-tuned ( I really like this tune)...
Anyways, is what the dealer saying accurate? DO they need to return the car to a stock file to diagnose?
Is there any way to pull the file off the car or will I be forced to re-tune. Will it be safe to run on a stock file until I can get it re-tuned?

Quite impressed with OE's support. I sent sales an email and they responded within 10 minutes. Jeremy advised that he saves ALL tuned files and once I send the base file to him that the dealer loads he will be able to send back a file that has my current maps etc merged to the new base (in case there is new code in the base file).
I went ahead and purchased the mygenius flashloader which they then overnighted to me so I will be able to flash the car at the dealership once they are done with it.
