Best car at Auto Show!?
On second thought, another nice car was the Audi S4 that had an 8 cyl packed into it!!!
BTW, the "Blue One" in the "E55 Picture Thread" is that new Kia "Luxury Car"
Cheers from a wishful future E55 owner.

The only reason I went to the show. 2005 Chrysler 300C Hemi. Built with 20% Mercedes parts & Rear Drive. The 340HP 5.7 liter Hemi V8 will be base price at $34k. Goes on sale in April 2004. I took this pic on Jan 02, 2004:

34K?? By the way it looks I assumed the price would be atleast twice MSRP. Grill somehow made me think it was Bently. Are the chrome rims stock?
Anyone think it looks like a Phantom?

What is a Phantom?

Yes, 34K for 340HP Hemi V8 RWD and 20% MBZ parts. The base model with 2.7 liter V6 and 190 or 200HP will be based at $27k. Chrome rims are never going to be standard. Optional. That car is the concept and rides on 20" rims. The base cars will probably ride on 16" with 17 & 18" optional.
What is a Phantom?
Chrysler:
300 (190HP) $23,595
300 Touring (250HP) $27,395
300 Limited (250HP) $29,890
300C Hemi (340HP) $32,995
I stand corrected. The 300 Limited will have 17" chrome rims standard.

I find about 20% of this car attractive, that being the engine.

This thing will generate more showroom traffic than the W211 did.
They put an awful tall tire on the Production 300C. I measly 225/60/18.

Hemi or no hemi it's butt-ugly ... sorry Kev
TJC
That hemi has 9 less HP and the same torque (390) as our E55's and it rides on many W210 parts. It is not always about looks - sometimes the attributes are the key. And the attributes of this car has me sold. Our E55 will not get a second look, but that car will. You will never came out the mall and have people's fingerprints all over your E55 as this concept will. Our E55 will blend into the crowd and be forgotten and this design while being retro is new, fresh, controversial, unique and very bold. Nothing bold about the looks of our E55's. If looks were the main factor then no Bentley nor Rolls would ever sell. Talk about Banglelized cars or not - BMW out sells MBZ every year - handily.

I would recommend this car to everyone because it is a bargain and part Mercedes. If you think the 300C is ugly then you probably will not like the Magnum either. This is my next ride, no more lumbering SUV or trucks for me.

My Prediction - These two cars will be the biggest tuning platforms and aftermarket stars of any car in the foreseeable future.
The 300C is already slated to be "Black Beauty". The crime fighting car for the Green Hornet and Kato movie. The first car was a 1966 Chrysler Imperial. Both cars will look awesome in Black with limo tint and black rims with some loud FlowMaster pipes. They will be MONSTERS!
