Exhaust Tuning ?
Would like a meaner more aggressive sound without a check engine light. What are the options? Other then a full blown performance exhaust. Advice and sound clips appreciated.

You can remove rear cats and resonator for a meaner sound. You can also change out mufflers with straight through style.

The cheapest and easiest method is to drop the back half of your exhaust and cut the tops of your mufflers of like opening a tin can. Once your are inside the mufflers, cut the u-bends off and remove the sound deadening material, then weld the tops back on (you will never see the scars as they are tucked away neatly under the trunk) and refit your exhaust. Any exhaust shop can do this and it sounds really mean and gritty. At partial throttle you won't hear much, but once you stomp on the gas the whole neighbourhood will know about it. Just be warned that once you have done this you have trashed your mufflers and will have to buy new or used ones if you don't like the sound. I am not including my sound clip because I also have headers, x-pipe, both cats and resonators deleted plus gutted mufflers. I was not happy with my exhaust sound until I gutted my mufflers. now everyone comments on how mean and cool my car sounds.
