1/8 mile @ irwindale tonight (SoCal)

Went to the track tonight for the first time in the E55 and it's been a good 10 years since I've even seen a tree at the strip... Conditions we ok cool night in the lower 60's but the mist started to roll in late... Track prep was ok at best with a lot of tire spin from everyone out there. Managed a best 7.5x @ 94mph with a 1.7 60'.... Only hooked twice good both being 94mph runs I'm a little disappointed as I thought my car would be a bit faster with having 180mm lower, 82mm tb, 550's, looped rail, kleemann with no cats, bwk, ec tune and minimal cooling mods on clk wheels with et streets. Any input, suggestions or comment are welcomed! By the way Fontana will be open Saturday 12-6 for 1/4 mile action if anyone wants to join me

Great to see another socal 55k

I didn't see your post otherwise I would have joined you at Fontana, how'd you do out there anyway?

For comparisons sake my CLS did 91 mph with 180mm + shorty headers + OE dyno tune + street tires at Irwindale during the summer if that means anything.

I'm going to Fontucky this weekend if your going to go on another run

It was good out there on Saturday, the track temps became a little hot out there midday but was manageable. I had a couple 1.7x 60' and ran a best 12.05 @115mph.. Honestly the car Is losing something on the top end and I need to figure it out!! I figured I'd be a mid 11sec or better car with my current mods and drag radials. Pm me your contact info and if I go to Fontana this weekend I'll hit you up

Yeah for sure your missing up top.

Last time I was in Fontana was in the spring. At 80*F, car did 11.9@117 with the same mods

Are you icing down after every run? Our cars are so temp sensitive it drives you nuts.

No icing down between passes , I made a pass about once an hour... Picked up a trunk tank this morning so that will be going in this week to try and keep the temps down. I need to start logging some vitals to see what's going on in the car on the top end
