1999 E55 AMG
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
This may or may not be an overdone issue, but I am looking to replace my stock AMG Monoblock rims with an aftermarket rim. I have the 18" x 8, and 18" x 9 rims. I would like to find a wider or taller rim to fit this car. Stock offset is 35mm. I can't get much help from Tire Rack or others as they are unwilling to make a call like that.
Any helpers out there!!!!!!!

wood head, this the stock wheel size & offsets for W210 E55 (1999-2002):
18X8 et31 front
18X9 et35 rear
There are not a lot a choices for the E55. Very few 19" rims in staggered setup. Don't try to do 20". The front is very, very, very difficult to upgrade. Easy to do a 9.5 or 10" width in rear.
Beware of the front upgrades. I changed from 18X8 et31 to 18X8 et35 and the inside rubbed with Nitto 555 tires. This was only a inward change of 4mm. I had to use the OEM Dunlop 9000's up front and there is absolutely no room inside. The Nitto 555 tire has a broad shoulder and the Dunlop 9000 has a rounded shoulder.
Words of Caution - When you see a fitment guide for the W210 E55 from a Euro Wheel company it is usually based on the Euro E55 tire sizes. All W210 around the world use these tire sizes:
235/40/18 front
265/35/18 rear
North America is the only country where the W210 E55 came with:
245/40/18 front
275/35/18 rear
This is where it rubbed. On that nut:
18X8 et31 front
18X9 et35 rear

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
There are a few ....
that will work. The best looking wheel I have seen on a W210 is the BBS LM in 19". Quite spendy, but perhaps the best quality mass produced wheel out there. If their sizes aren't big enough foryou, check out a compnay from Germany called Inden Design. They have custom fabricated BBS LM made for them, and have some beautiful pictures at thier webpage, I believe it's www.indendesign.de., or something close. If you can't find it, go over to the AMG owner's club board and look for thier banner. They are a sponsor there. Hope this helps.
