he probably meant "It is very sad people have no clue what they could have FOR a few pennies" referring to how good of a bang-for-the-buck these cars are :p
But I could be wrong. I'm still only halfway through my morning latte.

It's pretty easy to figure out what these are worth, just punch it into something like nadaguide, kbb, edmunds, etc. The problem is that the seller typically wants more than those numbers. The market speaks, it's just that the sellers don't always listen. I ended up buying my car through a dealer because the ones that I saw from individual owners wanted just as much if not more than dealers and didn't offer any warranty. For the dealers, it's pretty simple, they buy them at the right book price so that they know when they sell them, they can get the markup they want. For individual owners, they just don't want to take the depreciation hit, but the longer they hold onto it, the more it drops.

As an owner, I obviously hope for great value retention, and these unrealistic owners choking supply or asking too much isn't a bad thing. But sometimes I do feel some people are unrealistic about what their car is worth.

I learned the hard way...all this kbb and nada is bull ****. market dictates price.

2004 E55 AMG
Halfway through your late and can see what I ment. Thanks. I guess some people can not put 2 & 2 together or just have all the time in the world to pick forum post apart. Oh well. Car is very clean and still for sale and feel $13k is a pretty realistic price. Gotta leave some haggle room, and not give it away.
