I have 2 NTG1 COMAND units, one has a less than immaculate exterior and screen condition but the DVD player works. The other is immaculate, like new but the DVD player gives me an error. Believe me I've tried different region DVDs, region free, tried changing the settings. I tried the same DVD on both and it worked on the other one. It's probably a bad laser. You can't replace the laser, you have to replace the whole DVD player.

I wanna swap the good DVD player from the other COMAND into the immaculate unit. I'm a little weary about opening up the unit. I already have them out but does anyone know how to take out their DVD players?
