My primary driver side cat has had the internal substrate break lose and its now making an awful racket with the engine on and operating at anything other than WOT. Reading on the forums I have seen some guys gut the cats and others replace with straight pipe. Dealer wants $3300 for the front cat assy alone, so that's not a good option for a piece that is poorly made to begin with. I'm in soCal and curious what other members here have done to address this issue. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations on shops I should reach out to (I am in the IE), I greatly appreciate your assistance in advance!
