nice color.

I'll take the tranny and diff... Time for an experiment.
|
That is what happens when you have a car that is to light for that amount of power. The car was not engineered for that extreme amount of power. They did a segment on Motor week about it. It just cant be controlled. Everything has to be matched. It is like putting a V8 in a Beetle. Very poor engineering.
|
There's gonna be a LOT of this happening I predict. When you buy your way into this much horsepower without working your way up...it won't end good.
|
Ouch

People with too much money and not enough skill....

How about having people take responsibilities for their own actions rather than trying to blame someone else.... |
You hope no one was hurt in this accident
|
Was it a loss of control off the road type thing or was there another vehicle involved?
|
It almost looks like a pole shape dead center ,look at center of hood, disclaimer I have no idea what happened ,just my observation lol, sucks for the owner ,wonder if they still pals
|
Single car accident, this article has more pics...

The article has a link to another article that has pictures of the skid marks. Looks like it got light over a rise on a slight right hand curve... the back got loose (looks like under power), and he overcorrected to the left and and spun off the road. Smack into a tree. Ouch. |

Huh? The car weighs 4200 lbs??? :smash:
How about having people take responsibilities for their own actions rather than trying to blame someone else.... *Michael Clark*shows us where the skid marks are, and it appears that on a curve the driver lost control and slammed into a tree. It doesn’t seem like another vehicle was involved, so we may have to chalk this one up to driver error. Friend driving way too fast for his skill level, luckily they both survived the crash. Appears these Hellcats are built tough too! |
LOL, too light.:rolf::rolf::rolf:

Probably one of the most common mistakes made is lacking car control and over correcting. In this case the hill made an off throttle oversteer situation which can be tricky and if it was an unfamiliar road in the dark just plain silly. |

That is funny! The best part is that most of us would be more than ready to plunk down like $70k for a 707hp car that weighed like, let's say, 3500lbs! I promise that me and at least 3 of my friends would be first online! So, not only is the weight statement wrong (4200lbs) but makes no sense! |
Holy Christmas
I didn't notice the guy standing behind the drivers door the first few times I looked at that pic, that color is hypnotizing |
Looks like the rear right wheel went onto the grass also which would have caused the over correction.

Well , we have been waiting for this ,, at least no innocent people were hurt or killed .. Boy some people still dont get it ,, COLD road , cold tires and summer tires, cold air and tons of power , no experience with this power , ='s ACCIDENT or DEATH.. SRT-8 insurance just sky rocketed up . Find a straight road that your familiar with, no ditches, no trees , no houses and no people.. than play with the power ,, learn the power and torgue band . DUH before u KILL yourself and others .

I wonder if the car was airborne? Cresting a blind hill....car gets light (or airborne).... by the time the driver lands the road is already turning right and the car is heading into the opposite lane. Just a guess...... :nix: -G |
Maybe not fully airborne but it definitely got light. I agree GrebMB

nice car gone to waste..

Just a guess...... :nix: -G (Be interesting to see the calculated speed he was traveling from skid mark data) Plain & simple he was very aggressively driving a powerful car way out of his skill level. This accident was totally avoidable, driver error.. Most importantly they both survived, but dayummm would I be pissed off if I was the owner riding shotgun as this went down.. Love to of heard the story they cooked up for INS co. & possible wives/family "Where's your new car honey?" Ohh babe you wont believe this, we were just cruising home on the back roads and........... A deer, yeah a deer.... Jumped out of no where, if wasn't for my best buds evasive skills behind wheel we would've killed the deer & definitely died etc etc |
