Heat blowing cool air?
Hey guys, I have a 2004 E55 AMG. Just bought it a month or so ago. Yesterday it was a bit chilly (50 degrees) and I had the heat on. Randomly my Check Engine Light came on and my center vents were blowing cool air. The driver and passenger side vents were blowing normally. Anyone know what this could be? Also, any idea why my CEL came on? I had my sec cats and resonators deleted with an x pipe in place of the secondaries. Could the cold weather throw a CEL??![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Thanks!

The center vent is supposed to blow cold air. It has it's own adjuster knob for that. I think all German cars do it. As far as the CEL, I dunno. Do you have a code reader?

And I don't have a code reader, but I'll probably go to Autozone or one of those auto stores and let them read the code.

Change over valve, pretty easy to change, use this DIY but remove the wiper linkage , much easier

Cel can be caused by the cats removal

And I'm guessing maybe the secondary cats & resonator removal with an x pipe + the cold weather is causing a change in the exhaust flow? Maybe that's why? Wont know until I use the scanner and find out for sure.

Oh lol ! Congrats ! This is the legendary code- could be fuel sending unit-
small leak at the gas tank (got my diagnosed at the dealer recently)
or just a fuel cap.
But you are covered now since the class-action lawsuit just settled.
