Selling the E, am I priced right?

We are going to consolidate vehicles as we currently have 4. The plan is to sell the E and trade her 2010 ML550 for a 2015 C400.

Am I in a fair asking price range?

I would love for you to get $20k for your car! That makes my 06 with a bit more equipment and goodies and roughly the same mileage worth more
Also it is worth what someone is willing to pay, so you might get that.

However I think your about $3k high for that car. People are terrified of AMG's with 100k miles
Add modifications into the mix and you really have to find the right buyer.

If it was white, with a bit less miles, pano and keyless I think you could probably get $20k, but I would shoot for $17k on this car.
Don't be fooled by what retail prices are, private sales are always significantly lower than what dealers are asking.

Thanks guys. I know my asking price is high because no one EVER pays that. The one good thing about my few mods are that the type of mods I did, no one can tell, except for the drag strip. The car looks and sounds exactly like stock.

+1 My 06 with lower mileage and more options worth less than $20k...
It's sad but the AMG market sucks. I will just keep it for long long time...

Charley, did you try to sell it? How did you get to the conclusion yours is worth less than 20K?

I don't know about your state but in California I can find many E55 for sale in craiglist from $13K to $20K... IMO, if I want to sell, I would start $20K and end up selling it for $18k-19k. All this is base what I see in the market so I prefer just keep it.

I think you're priced a little high.

I would love to see you get your full asking price, but I would expect something in the $16K to $17K range.

It's a good looking car and it appears to be in good condition.

Also, your ad states you have 101,000 miles but the craigslist box says 100,100 miles. Minor typo.

Lastly, after you sell this car and trade the ML550 for a C400, you will still have three cars. Why not just sell one of the seemingly redundant Dodge trucks and still have 3 cars?

Another thing that might drive people away is it looks like the passenger front may have taken a good hit at some point. The headlight/bumper/hood gap seems to be off...
