That's about right if you factor retail labor hour price.
Whats the SC kit? 12k? Motor is stock crank and rods (Says "Modification"), massaged heads (3k maybe) Block is sleeved (should be 3k or so).... Machining, assembly, little "this and thats"

There are a lot of parts in that motor and it adds up quick.
I would sell my block just to get out of the car if someone is looking (Darton sleeves, Carrillo rods, Weistec high compression pistons, ARP head studs, Weistec SC, 90mm TB, ported heads, PTE cams, etc etc)
The thing you have to consider is that these parts take forever to get. Not like a crate LS motor where you just click and it's at your house by the end of the week. When someone tells you it will take X amount of time. Figure they should actually be done in 3-4X amount of time

When i was at the dealer couple weeks back asking for some prices, I asked whats the damage for a rebuilt OEM engine. You know just for fun, I was expecting it to be alot... There were 2 available from AMG, just a click away and ready to ship. Total was 66.000 Eur thats 78.000Usd
