transmission problem
in gear changes, i get the sensation of shifting gears like in a manual car without lifting off the gas. i.e. the RPMs go up around 1000 and then drop back down once the gear actually changes.
also, when changing from P to D or R, it takes like 4-5 seconds to actually make the change.
during WOT changes at 6550 rpm,, it feels like the car stops, and then starts accelerating again.
i recently changed the oil in the engine and tranny, Valvoline which proved to be really ****... tht i know because for 6 months i was using Total (3 changes) @ 5-7k km, and not a gram was used up between changes. valvoline lost 2l in 2k km.
could the tranny be acting up due to the ****ty vlvoline oil which i so falsely thought to be good? will the official amg oil help me out or have i killed of the tranny? :s
thanks in advance...

You mention OIL and tranny as if you used Valvoline OIL in the transmission. If you just mean that you used Valvoline tranny fluid then say that. The engine should have nothing necessarily to do with how the tranny is shifting.
Transmissions WHICH car a 55 or a 63. They are different ones.
If 63 tranny, then sometimes after a change, if that change is done only after a lot of miles issues happen. It appears that something is slipping inside your transmission between gear changes. I would immediately change the tranny fluid to the correct MB recommended type and then see how it is acting. The more you drive it the more issues can arise or damage it.
That is all I can offer, there are many threads on the correct MB fluids that are approved for use in the transmissions. Get that done and a FULL Flush at that, and see from there.
