Another E55 bites the dust
It's a sad day for sure. Insurance company called and informed me that they will total my car. So like any other responsible E55 owner, I decided to buy the car back and part it out so my baby will get to live on. After all it was my first Mercedes and my first AMG sting. Since then I acquired another three AMG, but you'll never forget your first one, right ?
Any way, here's my part out thread if any of you gentlemen need any part for your baby.

Thank you for the kind words. No one was hurt just a bruised ego. I drove the car the whole winter last year on regular tires without any problem. This year I have a full set of snow tires and this happened. I think the damn snow tires made me a little careless, but it's ice so nothing would have saved me.

From the CL55 AMG forum and I'm elated your unharmed.
Yesterday on the ride to the office, the NY highway roads were clear of snow and slush, well salted, but had a slight black sheen. The rear wiggle indicated "black ice". Upon purchase it was stupid of me to give the dealer the 200k mile 97 Ford Explorer for a measley $500. If there was someone to drive the Ford the three hours back from NJ to home, the CL55 would sit till spring.
