More reasons why I hate California... So the DMV only allowed me 2 one day temporary driving permits. She stamped the 2 permits but didn't put the date on them. Basically telling me when I'm ready to drive it, write the date on the permit myself. Ya right... I'm only writing the date when there's a black and white behind me! lol

Tomorrow or the next day I plan on getting an alignment and then begin driving it with the hopes that the codes will go away. Maybe a nice Vegas weekend getaway.. that'll put 500+ miles on it

In case the codes don't go away and I ultimately need to replace the cats (I can't believe on a car with only 35k miles on it), I'd really appreciate anyone who took theirs off willing to sell them to me. But keeping my fingers crossed that it wont be necessary. Cheers guys!

Federal law requires car manufacturers to warranty emissions parts 8 years or 80,000 miles.

And if I'm not mistaken, in California, the car has to have an even longer warranty.

Unfortunately the car is almost 10 years old (purchased August 2005) so Mercedes said I wasn't eligible =/

If you decide to visit Vegas, join our Facebook group (see signature below). We hold lots of events including one in March 8th (group meet/drive), March 14th tech day (free lift use), and April 19th, EuroRun 2015, a nice drive to Arizona.
