limp mode causes? it happened driving to work...
I'm assuming this is limp mode... so I was driving to work and driving normally, but then I went to accelerate harder than usual onto the highway and the car literally would not Accelerate. It creeps extremely slowly. Doesn't really accelerate.
This has never happened to me before.
The only thing I can think of is this morning I went to start the car, keyless go, and accidentally took my foot off the brake before the car started.
Could this potentially cause limp mode?
Mods are just upper pulley and tune now.

Thanks for the post.
well, I haven't exactly turned the car and restarted it to drive. I came to work and parked. I should be leaving for lunch, though, and I'll see if the problems continues.
Would the accidental letting off the brake pedal too quickly before the car actually starts (half starting the car almost) and release cause an immediate issue like this?
Thanks again, folks..

Hulk-
No, nothing came up on the dash. The car was acting completely normal other than the acceleration part of it. I was more or less going half WOT and it wasn't moving at all, just slowly creeping up in speed.

Maybe just a hiccup then?
There was absolutely nothing else wrong with the car other than the acceleration aspect.
I'll unplug the battery (per shardul's advice) for an hour during lunch and hope that does the trick.
Any other ideas please post up, thank you.

Any mods? Any stumbling on fast acceleration? (sorry some peoples near x-rated signatures have made me turn all sigs off at work)

Go fast mods are upper pulley and a dyno tune only.
That's the thing, the car doesn't accelerate at all, no blower engagement etc. Just VERY slow acceleration. VERY.
I have deleted secondaries and deleted resonator as well, but those shouldn't cause this.
Any other ideas fellas?

Would any/all of the above mentioned issues result in limp mode? The reason I'm asking is because he's not getting a CEL or any codes; I'm assuming he would for those culprits, no?

Intake Temps were fine, 40-50F, cruising while still acting up...
I ran an OBD scan with my PLX OBD II reader for codes.
Only got a "pending code"...whatever that means?
P0111 - Generic
Powertrain - Fuel and Air Metering/Intake Air Temp Sensor Circuit Range/Performance, Bank 1
P0111 - GM
Powertrain- Fuel and Air Metering/IAT Sensor Performance Conditions
Cause - Key On or engine running for 2 seconds then PCM detected that the IAT sensor input changed 0.3v in 250 milliseconds
So, now I'm wondering if that mis-start this morning cause this as the car sounded like it turned on but I let off too soon.
It was in slight limp mode-ish, then the car opened up after 15 mins driving back home. Did some half WOT runs and full WOT to check IATs, they went to mid 90s, then recovered well and quick back into the 40-50 range in a minute or so. I can safely say I ruled out the IC pump.
All seems fine now, but just that pending code, which might just be a hiccup after all.
Thoughts?

MBWorld Fanatic!
If I remember correctly. You will need to re teach your windows and sunroof for a few cycles and obvious stereo settings. Cant remember if you need to do anything else when you disconnect positive and negative terminals for hard reset.
Anyone know?
