pump and blower will not engage

My supercharger and intercooler pump will no longer engage/turn on and just happened out of the blue. Anyone have this problem before. Pump does work when hot wired. Thanks

Just found it!! Had a blown 5 amp fuse in number 4 slot, and would have to think is to small but also didnt know that the pump and supercharger work together on the same power source. Does a Johnson pump put more load on the system and require maybe a 15 amp fuse? Thanks

One must be careful when using a higher amperage fuse, the fuse is the weak link, the wrong thing to do is put a higher amp fuse in and let the wiring be the weak link.
If the pump draws more amperage then a relay and separate stand alone fuse should be used.
Some others may know if that fuse is just for the magnetic coil for the supercharger clutched pulley. 5 amps I do not believe is large enough to run the pump.
Just sayin!

Agreed. Raising amperage on the fuse is not a good idea. Rather blow a fuse then burn your wiring.

I completely agree but how can both those "draws" survive on a 5 or 7 amp fuse? Seems a bit low to me but either way its running well again.

As stated before, chances are the 5 amp is just for the clutch magnetic coil. Somewhere in the wiring and computerization of the car the signal from that feed goes to the pump.
Someone more qualified should be able to tell you the fuse number for the pump.

that fuse is only for the pump.
